{"id":10442,"date":"2017-09-29T09:28:46","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T07:28:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fagace.org\/?p=10442"},"modified":"2024-04-05T13:19:53","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T11:19:53","slug":"9eme-session-ordinaire-du-conseil-des-gouverneurs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fagace.org\/en\/2017\/09\/29\/9eme-session-ordinaire-du-conseil-des-gouverneurs\/","title":{"rendered":"9TH ORDINARY SESSION OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Governors of <strong>the Fonds Africain de Garantie et de Coop\u00e9ration Economique (FAGACE)<\/strong> held its 9th ordinary session on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the conference room of the Direction G\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Tr\u00e9sor of the Republic of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, under the chairmanship of Mr. Amadou BA, Minister of Economy, Finance and Planning of the Republic of Senegal, current Chairman.<\/p>\n<p>Represented at this session were the Governors of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Chad and Togo.<\/p>\n<p>The 9th ordinary session of the Board of Governors was preceded by the 48th session of the Board of Directors held on September 28, 2017, which submitted its report to the Board.<\/p>\n<p>In examining the items on its agenda, the Board of Governors paid particular attention to the said report. It thus took note of the results of the work of the Board of Directors, which approved, among other things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>the 2016 activity report,<\/li>\n<li>the status of undisbursed approvals,<\/li>\n<li>setting up the Ad&#8217;hoc Committee in charge of revising the Fund&#8217;s basic texts,<\/li>\n<li>financial position at June 30, 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After examining the report&#8217;s conclusions and recommendations, the Board of Governors congratulated the members of the Board of Directors on the qualitative results achieved. It then took a number of important decisions, including the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the adoption of the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2016 and the Statutory Auditors&#8217; reports,<\/li>\n<li>adoption of the Fund&#8217;s Strategic Plan,<\/li>\n<li>the appointment of Statutory Auditors,<\/li>\n<li>election of the Board of Governors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With these decisions, the Board of Governors undertakes to support the revitalization of the Fund through the strengthening of its equity capital, the reorganization of its portfolio, the restoration and intensification of cooperative relations with financial partners and, in general, the strategic reorientation of the institution with a view to making it more efficient and enabling it to play its role to the full for the benefit of the economies of member states.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Presidency of the Board of Governors was entrusted to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, as Senegal&#8217;s term of office had expired.<\/p>\n<p>At the close of its proceedings, which took place in an atmosphere of frank cordiality, the Board of Governors unanimously expresses its deep gratitude to His Excellency Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, and to the Government and People of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, for the warm welcome and African hospitality extended to its members, and for all the facilities made available to ensure the smooth running and success of its meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Abidjan, September 29, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman of the session,<br \/>\nAmadou BA<br \/>\nMinister of the Economy, Finance and Planning<br \/>\nof the Republic of Senegal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Governors of the Fonds Africain de Garantie et de Coop\u00e9ration Economique (FAGACE) held its 9th ordinary session on&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":10444,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_themeisle_gutenberg_block_has_review":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[51],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10442","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-actualites-du-fagace"],"translation":{"provider":"WPGlobus","version":"2.10.10","language":"en","enabled_languages":["fr","en","ar","pt"],"languages":{"fr":{"title":true,"content":true,"excerpt":true},"en":{"title":true,"content":true,"excerpt":true},"ar":{"title":false,"content":false,"excerpt":false},"pt":{"title":false,"content":false,"excerpt":false}}},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.7 -
