As part of the cooperation between their two institutions, Mr. Basile TCHAKOUNTE, Managing Director pi of FAGACE and Mr. Cherno GAYE Managing Director of COGEBANQUE proceeded, this Wednesday, November 20, 2019, to the signing of a guarantee agreement for the implementation of the YEGO INNOVISION company’s motorcycle cab transport sector digitalization project.
This ceremony, which is the second of its kind, testifies to the commitment of FAGACE and COGEBANQUE to support the private sector in implementing projects, and to the excellent cooperative relationship that exists between the two financial institutions.
The project, led by YEGO INNOVISION, aims to equip motorcycle cabs with an electronic and connected device called the Intelligent Connected Fare Meter (ICFM), to ensure the management and control of trips and journeys made by this means of transport.
The project will essentially clean up the motorcycle cab sector in Rwanda.
By making this project possible, FAGACE and COGEBANQUE are helping to foster technological innovation in Rwanda, which is seen as stimulating the country’s development and accelerating its transition to a completely cashless digital economy.
