LE FAGACE MOBILIZES TO FIGHT AGAINST COVID19

These are difficult times, with the spread of the Coronavirus disease. Recognized by the WHO as a global pandemic, COVID-19 is sowing fear and uncertainty, sparing no state or institution.

Its unprecedented spread and the many disappearances it has caused around the world make it a threat to both personal and professional lives.

On this occasion, let us spare a special thought for all those who are currently affected by this terrible pandemic at various levels. To those infected, we wish a speedy return to good health.

To help eradicate COVID-19, we at FAGACE are working to minimize the risks of contamination. To this end, a Crisis Committee has been set up and a business continuity plan successfully tested in order to pursue the Fund’s mission to serve its member states. In this context, our operational departments remain mobilized and accessible via all the usual communication channels (internet and telephone) for the processing of all files.

We ensure strict compliance with instructions in our offices, both at the Fund’s headquarters in Cotonou and at our representative offices in Douala and Kigali.

These include

– systematic hand disinfection for staff and all our users, partners and service providers, on entering our premises;

– observance of the one-meter social safety distance;

– the suspension of all missions and training abroad;

– the dissemination of safety and protection instructions;

– the definition of crisis scenarios and appropriate action plans to ensure continuity of service to our partners.

In addition, a number of measures have been taken to ensure the safety of our staff and users.

Once again, we urge you to comply with the general instructions issued by the competent authorities, and to continue to follow the measures below:

– wash your hands frequently with soap and water, or use a hydro-alcoholic solution;

– sneeze into the elbow or use a disposable handkerchief and dispose of it immediately in a waste garbage can;

– respect social distance;

– call a doctor or the toll-free number as soon as you feel unwell.

FAGACE is committed to protecting, supporting and informing you. Together, let’s adopt lifesaving gestures!
