This Wednesday, July 15, 2020, a delegation from the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE) led by its Managing Director, Mr. Ngueto Tiraïna YAMBAYE, was received in Cotonou, in audience at the office of Mr. Romuald WADAGNI, Minister of Economy and Finance of Benin.
The audience was an opportunity for the Fund’s Managing Director, who took up his post in Cotonou on July 06, 2020, to extend his greetings to Mr. Romuald WADAGNI, and the Fund’s congratulations to the Minister both on his appointment to the Presidency of FAGACE’s highest bodies, and on Benin’s recent performance, notably the World Bank’s latest ranking among middle-income countries.
He also took the opportunity to briefly outline his vision of the institution’s development prospects, with a view to enabling the Fund to fully play its role as a catalyst in the ecosystem for financing the economies of member states.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Romuald WADAGNI reaffirmed his support for the new dynamic, and expressed his readiness to support the reforms in prospect, in order to bring the Fund up to international standards.
