The Director General of the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE) Mr. Ngueto Tiraina YAMBAYE, met the Vice-President Africa Region of the World Bank, Mr. Ousmane DIAGANA in Cotonou, Benin, on May 5, 2023.
It is important to emphasize that the World Bank pursues two objectives: ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity in a sustainable manner. It intervenes by promoting the growth of the private sector in developing countries, through its International Financial Corporation (IFC) which is a development institution focused on the private sector in emerging countries and whose mission is to promote economic development then improve the living conditions of the populations.
The discussions revolved around the role that FAGACE has played since its establishment in the development of member states, which the two institutions share in common, and more generally in Africa.
