A delegation from the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE) led by its Principal Advisor in charge of Resource Mobilization, Mr. Basile TCHAKOUNTE, participated in the 2023 annual general meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Association African Development Finance Institutions (AIAFD) in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, following the invitation of the AIAFD of which the Fund is a member.
These meetings were held from May 22 to 26, 2023 around the theme “Mobilizing private sector financing for climate and green growth in Africa. »
This year, around 3,000 participants took part, including key officials from bilateral and multilateral development agencies.
The discussions focused on the role of development finance institutions in the energy transition, for a just transition.
