The Director General of the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE), Mr. Ngueto Tiraïna YAMBAYE, led a Fund Mission to Yaoundé, Cameroon, from February 26 to March 3, 2023.
On this occasion, the delegation was received in audience by the Governor of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), Mr. Abbas MAHAMAT TOLLI.
The discussions focused on the role that FAGACE must play in the financial ecosystem of Central Africa and the participation of the BEAC in the Independent Evaluation Office of FAGACE, an independent control body composed of the central banks of the four (4) monetary zones of the Member States, established by the Board of Governors of the Fund in 2022.
On the sidelines of this audience, several meetings took place with players in the Cameroonian financial market and with Mr. Bachirou MOHAMADOU, current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Director of Cameroon at FAGACE.
These various meetings allowed FAGACE to reaffirm its commitment to strengthening its interventions in Central Africa and particularly in Cameroon.
