On the morning of Thursday, November 3, 2022, under the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Togo, the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund organized at the February 2 hotel in Lomé, an exchange meeting with banks and SGI. The objective of the Fund is to revitalize the partnership with local financial institutions and strengthen its interventions in Togo in line with the orientations of the Government’s National Development Program.
It appears from the various communications that took place that:
- FAGACE today displays appreciable standards in view of the profound reforms carried out in recent years and the consequent observable results;
- the level of the Fund’s interventions in Togo stands at around 200 billion CFA francs mobilized for the benefit of 45 projects in strategic sectors such as energy, hotels, infrastructure and this level deserves to be reinforced at view of the Fund’s ambitions and the dynamism of the market;
- the operating mode of the new Strategic Plan “The new momentum” articulated around Banks and SGI places increased interest in the problem of financing SMEs and structuring projects of States.
FAGACE thus reaffirms its desire to be more present on the market alongside other financial institutions for greater impact on the Togolese economy.
