Revitalization of cooperation between FAGACE and SHELTER AFRIQUE
The Managing Director of Shelter Afrique, Andrew Chimphondah, carried out a working mission to FAGACE and met the Managing Director and the Board of Directors of the Fund on July 1, 2021 in Cotonou.
Shelter Afrique is a Pan-African company for financing and promoting housing as well as improving living conditions.
The purpose of SHELTER AFRIQUE’s visit is to relaunch cooperation between the two Institutions.
Indeed, FAGACE and SHELTER AFRIQUE have had a cooperative relationship for several decades. This cooperation focused in particular on the mobilization of resources on the UEMOA financial market with a view to carrying out real estate programs.
At the end of the discussions, the two Institutions reaffirmed the urgency and need to strengthen their catalytic roles in the provision of financing for affordable housing across Africa. Through this partnership, FAGACE and SHELTER AFRIQUE will offer financial, consulting and research solutions aimed at resolving the housing crisis in Africa.
