  • CONSTRUCTION OF A HIGH-SPECIALTY HOSPITAL BY THE GROUPE SANTÉ AFRICAIN (GSA): FAGACE ONCE AGAIN GUARANTEES THE PROJECT

At the close of the 2nd Extraordinary Ordinary Session of the Board of Directors, the Fund approved a loan of two hundred and ninety million (290,000,000) FCFA for the Centre Hospitalier Panafricain Group Santé Afric (GSA), representing 50% of an additional loan of five hundred and ninety million (580,000,000) FCFA to be raised from AFRILAND FIRST BANK.
This loan will be used to finance work to complete the GSA extension project, involving the construction of a 1,400 m2 high-specialty hospital, the acquisition of ultra-modern medical equipment and the diversification of cutting-edge medical specialties.
It should be recalled that the project benefited from the Fund’s guarantee to the tune of 1,452.5 million FCFA, i.e. 50% of the BDEAC and AFRILAND loans.
With these new approvals, FAGACE’s interventions on behalf of its member states now total two hundred and seventy-nine billion seven hundred and ninety million (279,790,000,000) FCFA.
