OVER 11 BILLION FROM FAGACE TO SUPPORT FIVE AFRICAN COMPANIES

The Fonds Africain de Garantie et de Coopération Economique (FAGACE) has just approved loan guarantee applications from five African companies for a total of eleven billion FCFA.

Approved at the last FAGACE Board meeting, these guarantee requests concern the extension of the Complexe industriel avicole (CINA) by AGRISAT (Benin) for 1 billion FCFA, the construction of grain storage units by Atlantic Agri-Tech (Cameroon) for 3 billion FCFA, and the technical capacity-building project for Télécel Centrafrique for 1.5 billion FCFA.) Guarantee requests for the Société d’électricité et d’eau de Guinée-Bissau operational capacity-building project (FCFA 4.5 billion) and the project to set up a guarantee line for the Banque rwandaise de développement (FCFA 1.100 billion) were also approved during this session of the fund’s Board of Directors. These new approvals, which will contribute to the economic and social development of the States, particularly in the livestock, agro-industry, telecommunications, energy and finance sectors, bring to 220 billion FCFA the guarantees granted to date by the fund.
