The Fonds Africain de Garantie et de Coopération Economique (FAGACE) has just granted guarantees totalling 1.9 billion CFA francs to two West African companies, namely APEXIM of Côte d’Ivoire and Groupe NESKO of Burkina Faso.
Côte d’Ivoire’s APEXIM, which specializes in cocoa and coffee exports, received a guarantee of 500 million CFA francs, representing 20% of the loan it intends to grant, i.e. 2.5 billion CFA francs for the 2006-2007 campaign.
The NESKO group, also present in several economic activities in Burkina Faso, also benefited from a FAGACE guarantee for 1.4 billion CFA francs, representing 46.47% of the amount of a 3 billion CFA franc bond issue it is preparing to launch on the regional financial market.
