The Fonds Africain de Garantie et Coopération Economique hosted the handover ceremony between Madame Mawèkouta ABOU AISSAH, Acting Managing Director, and Madame Minafou Fanta COULIBALY-KONE, Managing Director, at its headquarters in Cotonou on January 06, 2017.
The ceremony, chaired by Papa Amadou SARR, Chairman of the Board of Directors, was attended by all the institution’s staff.
It was an opportunity for the Acting Managing Director to congratulate the new Managing Director on his appointment, and to invite staff to cooperate fully and openly in the smooth running of the institution.
After expressing his gratitude to the Fund’s governing bodies for the trust placed in him, the new Managing Director outlined the major projects FAGACE needs to carry out to ensure its success.
Ms Minafou Fanta Coulibaly-KONE is the sixth Managing Director of FAGACE. She was appointed for a four (04) year term at the head of the Fund following an international recruitment process by decision of the Board of Governors at its 2nd extraordinary session held in Dakar on December 09, 2016.
The first Ivorian to occupy this position, Ms. Coulibaly is a financial expert with a rich professional career spanning almost 20 years of high-level, multidisciplinary experience in the banking, financial and economic sectors, where she has distinguished herself through her work capacity, probity and personal rigor.
Previously Special Adviser to the Ivorian Minister for the Economy and Finance, the new Managing Director will bring her wealth of experience to bear on the challenges of revitalizing the Fund’s operations and development, signs under which she places her mandate.
