FAGACE CO ORGANIZES THE AFRICA INVESTMENT FORUM WITH THE WAGAS GROUP.

The Fonds Africain de Garantie et de Coopération Economique (FAGACE) has co-organized with WAGAS Deep Tech Campus, the Africa Investment Forum on February 29, 2024 in Paris (France).
The aim of the forum was to explore the fields of alternative financing, sustainable development and the emerging potential of the African continent as a new frontier for investment.
It comprised two main parts: the African Investment Forum and the Forum on Financing and Economic Cooperation. These sessions offered insightful perspectives on current trends, risk mitigation strategies, opportunities for economic growth and much more. Participants also had the unique opportunity to take part in targeted B2B sessions, fostering concrete collaborations between investors and African institutions.
On this occasion, the two organizing institutions presented new instruments and adapted operating models in the field of guarantees, which will enable them to internalize disparities and transform what are perceived as high risks, into real economic opportunities.

The forum was attended by investors, entrepreneurs, banking institutions and Chadian political decision-makers such as Mr. Mahamat Assileck Ahmat, Minister of Regional Planning, Housing and Urban Development, and Mr. Djimé Moussa Oumar, Minister of Vocational Training, Trades and Microfinance, who emphasized the crucial interaction between government policy and investment initiatives.

At the end of the proceedings, the potential of Africa as an investment destination was highlighted. The essential role of innovative financing, partnerships and sustainable development practices in unlocking this potential was highlighted. The diverse and informative sessions provided a comprehensive roadmap for investors, policymakers and entrepreneurs, paving the way for an era of transformative economic development in Africa.
