FAGACE is backing 40% of the BSIC loan (CENSAD’s bank), i.e. 1 billion 200 million F CFA, for the construction of a 50,000-ton cotton ginning plant in Banfora.
This project is justified by the existence of a buoyant market and the need to reinforce the ginning capacity of SOFITEX (Société des Fibres Textiles). The total cost of the project is estimated at 5 billion 700 million F CFA.
The BSIC loan amounts to 3 billion F CFA.
